Ichimoku overview for week 04 2018

Last week, already the 4th of the new year, saw 5 Signals in 3 markets (out of 22):

As usual the weather backcast contains the ichimoku analysis of 22 indices, futures and FOREX pairs. The linked charts contain all the details and neccessary context. Both charts and tables are generated automatically, at the moment the software is still work in progress. I won't write anything about the US indices this week- it is getting boring. Just look for yourself ;) At least, a couple of corrective candles are back, every now and then. Trends still look very healthy... Bund Euro Future continued to trend south, with a textbook example of a trend definition by Dow theory (lower lows, lower highs). EUR/USD ignited the next stage, also a nice example of a trend- this one short term with high momentum. Apropos short term/high momentum: just have a look at gold. A pretty boring market for a long time, and suddenly a ~10% plus within 1,5 months. The trend is your friend- until it ends. If, for example, Sugar Future stopped trending I cannot say. But I can ride the trend until the system tells me to get out :) For all markets in the investment universe (especially for an intermarket analysis), check the charts and tables below!

If you downloaded my software and wonder about the system settings, a quick overview for the most relevant settings:

• Ichimoku time period settings are standard (9,26,52), only strong signals are shown.
• ICHI_CHIKOU_CONFIRM = true (Chikou Span is used as confirmation/ filter for trend).
• ICHI_KUMO_CONFIRM = false (Kumo breakouts have to be higher/lower than last reaction high/low to be valid)
• SIGNAL_REGIME_FILTER = none (all market regime filters are off)
• SIGNAL_EXECUTION_PYRAMID = full (use every signal even if it is already in portfolio)
